MICHIGAN:

Position: Ergonomist for Automotive Industry
Overview: To drive the optimization of the worker interface by reducing/eliminating ergonomic issues associated with product, process, tooling, workstation and man-assignment. Provide ergonomic expertise to the assigned programs on:

• Ergonomic risk identification, analysis and resolution of high priority jobs and/or jobs with increased injury per facility/program
• Productivity initiatives/reduction and/or elimination of non-standard operators
• Review ergonomic impact of changes
• Ergonomic guidelines validation
• WCM integration with regard to all aspects of Workplace Organization (MURI, MURA, MUDA)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science, major in ergonomics, human kinetics, kinesiology, human engineering or a related ergonomics field. Certification as Professional Ergonomist is preferred but not required
• Two years experience in applying ergonomic principles and providing ergonomic analyses in a manufacturing setting
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Knowledge and proficient in secondary ergonomic analyses techniques

Work Organization:

• 40 to 50 hours per work, depending on demand but to assume straight 40 hours then add extra as necessary
• Outcome is a final review of each Trim, Chassis, Final workstation

We are looking for Mid To Senior Level Health and Safety Specialists.
